1. Data Collection
• We use the YouTube Analytics API to retrieve statistics about your YouTube channel and videos. This may include metrics such as views, likes, comments, and estimated minutes watched, among others.
• We access this data only with your explicit permission (via Google OAuth 2.0) and do not collect any personal information beyond what is necessary to provide our analytics service.
2. How We Use the Data
• We store your analytics data in our secure database (hosted on Supabase) in order to generate reports, trends, or insights related to your YouTube channel performance.
• The collected data is used solely for providing and improving our service. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your YouTube analytics information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
3. Data Storage & Security
• We store the access token (and if applicable, the refresh token) in secure environment variables within our system. We use these tokens solely to communicate with the YouTube API on your behalf.
• Your analytics data is stored in a protected database, and we implement reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to help prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of your information.
4. Token Refresh & Revocation
• Because YouTube access tokens expire, we may use the refresh token (if provided) to obtain new access tokens automatically.
• You can revoke our access at any time in your Google account settings. If you revoke access, we will no longer be able to collect or process your YouTube analytics data.
5. Data Retention
• We retain your YouTube analytics data for as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law. If you wish to have your historical data removed, you may contact us at any time (see “Contact Us” below).
6. User Rights & Choices
• Access and Deletion: You can request to access or delete your stored analytics data at any time.
• Revocation of Consent: You may revoke our access to your YouTube account at any time through your Google Security Settings.
7. Third-Party Services
• We rely on Supabase for data hosting and storage. While we take steps to ensure they maintain high standards of security, we encourage you to review Supabase’s privacy practices as well.
8. Changes to This Policy
• We reserve the right to update this privacy statement to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the “Last Updated” date or providing an in-service notice.
9. Contact Us
• If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at [Your Contact Email/Link].
By using our service and integrating with the YouTube Analytics API, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms outlined in this privacy statement.
